So, we had some awesome wood floors in this house. Three different types:
- Tiger Oak in the main entrance, with so many stripes and character
- Oak in the bedrooms, with some tiger stripes, but this oak did not have as much character as the main room.
- Douglas Firs in the office and closets, which turned out to be the original foundation to all the floors
Unfortunately, since the house is 100 years old, the floors were not in any shape to refinish. My ultimate goal was to bring some consistency to the house since everything was so mixed...baseboards, flooring, paint colors. Every room felt like it was an add-on, so we fixed that!
